Superintendent Certificate
Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 12
The Arizona State Department of Education requires the following*:
Possession of a valid Arizona Elementary, Secondary or Special Education Teaching Certificate
A Master's degree or more advanced degree from a regionally accredited institution
Verification of three years of pre-kindergarten - 12 teaching experience
Completion of an internship in the superintendency.
A minimum of sixty graduate semester hours that include the completion of an approved program in educational administration for superintendents, including a minimum of thirty-six graduate semester hours in educational administrative course work.
Passing score on the Proficiency and Professional Knowledge portions of the Arizona State Teacher Proficiency Assessment<
