Loan Management

University of Phoenix prides itself on the flexibility of our programs, but we also recognize that this flexibility can be problematic for students receiving financial aid.

It is important for you to understand that the following may affect your financial aid status

  • Your academic year
  • Being out of attendance
  • Doubling up on courses
  • Making changes to your schedule
  • Taking unscheduled breaks between courses
  • Not maintaining satisfactory academic progress

Please contact your Financial Aid Counselor to discuss the consequences of any potential schedule change before it is made.

In order to stay eligible for financial aid, you will need to maintain:

  • Continuous enrollment with no break longer than 29 days
  • An undergraduate Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher
  • A graduate or TED/CLAD GPA of 3.0 or higher

It is also important to remember that federal financial aid loans are to be used only for educational purposes.
